Heq5 Pro Mount - Parking scope

Hi, this is the first time I have posted on this forum.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to 'park' the scope in a different position other than the 'home' position? I am currently using SynScan version 3.25 with an HEQ5 Pro mount. The reason being, I have bought a new scope with longer focal length and if I park it in 'home' position, it will hit the sliding roof of the ob.

Any help will be appreciated

You can certainly park it in a custom park position when connected via ASCOM/EQMOD to a computer. I recall that it can be parked to a custom position with the handset too, but it is not something that I have done (in fact my handset has only been used three times before I went over to "remote control" - the length of my USB cable away, inside the house where it is warm).

Hi dmahon, thanks for that, that's a great help. I am not currently using EQMOD but that sounds the route to take, so I can custom park the scope and this will save me a lot of reorganisation in the ob. Thanks again, Malc.

Will keep an eye on this topic,because i think, i will be having the same problem,regarding the roof.Not got a laptop (yet),so unable to use EQMOD.
