Hello,

I want to make a polarscope illuminator.

I bought a heap of bits from maplin thinking a basic led circuit with a potentiometer would be fairly easy to make....

Well who was i kiding i really know very little about circuit design.

I figured all i would need was a 9v battery a resister a potentiometer and a red Led?

But i forgot how much maths is involved in this kind of stuff and well maths is defently not my strong suit.

So if anyone has any input they can provide it would be much appreciated.

A while back there was a circuit for one of these posted in the DIY section along with all the bits (and the maths I think) and build instructions. Have a search - if I find it first I'll post here for you
