Xmas present to self...

Hi all,

Inspired by all the recent discussion of the performance benefits of long focus achromatic refractors (Blame Neil and others for this...) I have just bought my Xmas preent to myself for this year: an 80mm f11.25 achromat with TMB objective lens. Basically a Burgess "Planet Hunter" with TMB optics! Got it off AB&S so you'll see the ad still on there for a while.

Looking forward to its arrival and the ensuing 3-way shootout between it and my other refractors (80mm fl 900 achro vs 90mm fl600 Triplet Apo vs 120mm 900mm ED Doublet)

It should make a good lunar scope too with my Herschel Wedge (I see Johninderby uses one for that too).
