Best sky atlas for new telescope owner.

Recommended Posts

Turn left at Orion is an excellent but if you're using reflector-type telescope the pictures in it are all mirror images. Even so it gives you a very good selection of intersting things to see. I bought "Stars and Planets" by Ian Ridpath (published by Dorling Kindersley) a few years ago and I swear by it. Either at home or whenever I'm travelling it's close by. It's pocket size and packed with good useful information on the planets and constellations.
