snow way out!!

hey just a random question

how bad can snow be for telescopes?

iv left mine out to cool down amin but what damage would it do if it started snowing again, its been on and off for a while today

Not sure, as long as you keep snow and damp of any mirrors and lenses it should be ok. Don't forget about the mount and electrics aswell.

I'd rather stay in front the fire with a nice glass of mulled wine, I'll get the scope out when the snow has gone!

Well that was funny!

Gareth, I was going to say you should at least have a scope cover just in case, at least then it will keep it protected if you do get a sudden burst of sleet or snow.

You would not leave a scope out in the rain, so dont leave one out in the snow.

Snow is only semi-frozen rain.
