What an awesome sight in the sky tonight...

Beautiful crescent moon in a clear patch in the sky.

Had to rely on the little 70 mm mac on my camera tripod (still can't lift the big scopes, duff back)

This one with Nikon 5400 afocal 40mm eyepiece

Phil do you find it harder to get a good shot of the moon when it's this low in the sky?

I have tried myself of several occasions, but shining though the thick atmosphere it's wobbles more than Jordan on a washing machine,.

Yep, the low moon was a problem last night, about a 7 on the 1 to 10 wobbling Jordan scale

I took about 20 shots and picked the best one for here
