Lambda Orionis nebula goes solo...

This is the vast nebula forming the head of Orion. Since it is rarely imaged, here it is with an extra 4 hours from last night, making 8 in all. I will not want to push the brightness and contrast so hard in the full constellation image for the sake of honesty so here it is dressed for a night out on the pull! I rather like this nebula. Huge. 85mm camera lens, bright star is Betelgeuse.

For some reason I can't see your image Olly. Have you uploaded it using the forum attachement software?
