The Flaming Star Nebula IC 405 DLSR

This nebula is beutifull this final image contains 4 hours worth of colour and 4 hour worth of HA data it has to be the most intense time processing tricky little [removed word].

any tips on how i can stop the stars bloating on the HA, would of been better if i could of taimed them a bit thanks for looking Ian

thanks all for your comments its on of those objects that you just take your time on and collect as much data as possible, olly the HA filter was a astronomik 12nm clip filter

Lovely image, I really love this nebula but haven't mustered up the talent (or camera) to have a go at it You've really done it justice!

The HA filter was worth every penny it has brought alot more neboulosity than you would think here is just the RGB just wish i had the star from this one, and the reflection nebula has weekend of as well when laying the HA over it.

Ooh very interesting, I've just been working on the same target. Nicely framed and processed. Are you sure it's the ha giving that's bloating. Ha stars are normally tight although some of the 13nm astronomic filters can give halos, but that doesn't appear to be a problem here with your 12nm clip filter.

Ok sorry about this but i have redone this, not the RGB but the HA data and i have blended it alot different this time hope you like this version as it is less on the red background

The revised blending of the Ha has done the trick, very nice colour and contrast.
