M33 23rd Nov

Surprise break in the clouds tonight so made a start on M33. Nextar 8" with fastar and SXV H9. Managed about 30 x1 min lum subs before the clouds rolled in. Am getting really fed up with the gradients generated by the short f/l fastar set up. I have cropped the image to help get around these which is a shame really. All the same, I'm quite pleased with the way it has come out considering the short exposure time (fastar does have some benefits).

At last Martin you got it , first class job there mate , always a hard one to get , such a low surface detail in this one , but it looks good , glad you managed to get out , and to finish with a happy result

What about a bit of "distributed astrophotography"? We all aim at the same thing doing R,G, B or Lum. , send 'em all to Rog. and sell the results then retire?
