Since there aren't many owners of this mount, may I commend (without bias?) a rather nice review of the: Ioptron Standard Alt-Az GoTo, by Ian Morison, in the latest quarterly (Oct-Dec 2010) SPA magazine.

Just to highlight a personal finding. With a level system, a QUICK one star alignment suffices and many anecdotal "problems" with GoTo setup are avoided - Input Params supplied by GPS. Re. the (past?) reliability issues... Well mines still whirring away after a few active weeks... months, with a 12lb (MAK) + 8lb (Frac) load. The review explores this (approx.) combo, a single C8, FS102 etc. A good read. :)
