What eyepiece for v. close doubles stars?

I'm looking to buy a very high powered eyepiece for hunting close double stars. I have a William optics 6mm SPL giving 300X but find the image scale not quite large enough for seeing sub .6 arcsecond doubles especially if there's more than .5 magnitude difference between each component.

The 6mm SPL has good contrast and definition so am thinking of buying the 3mm version, but I have v. little experience of other brands/types. Am looking to spend no more than £70.

What about a 4mm or 3.2mm TMB clone ?

Any suggestions anyone ?
