TAL-1M on ebay, went for £31! I paid 3 times that for a non-motorised one.

oh thats a fantastic deal ! wish i had seen that one ! Really love the old tals..even though i have a tal 1 i would have been tempted by this! My old tal eyepieces are a little scratched - would have been worth paying the 31 pounds just to get some better ones!

That's exactly what I was thinking when I saw it with 4 hours to go. I could have swapped the motorised mount and the best eyepieces and then put the least good of the two resulting scopes back on ebay. I just didn't have the time to verify that it could be delivered etc.
