Now that is looking good.

Alnitak is so controlled it's almost subdued ! The other belt stars are very tight and look well with their spikes. In fact I think that lens is giving you a great head start. Are you still running at f4 ? I've downloaded the image and had a good look at the edge stars. They seem perfect.

I can't remember if you said you will add O111 to the blue. Will you ?

The lens to chip distance seems good.

Please keep going.

Dave.

Thanks to all. Dave, the edge stars have had some dodgy Ps star rounding on the quick and quiet! But they weren't bad. Alnitak is straight from the can on the same stretch as the rest of the image. Not always so easy!

Euan, bigger one here; Widefield images including mosaics and overlays. - ollypenrice's Photos

Just about to get panel three, the top left of Orion with that mighty round nebula, though that will span 2 panels. Meanwhile the TEC is picking Irises. Busy tonight, Dob on the go as well. Cor blimey!!

Looked at the bigger image. See what you mean re PS. They still look good where ( I think ) the join is.

Go wider and crop back ?? *

The bright stars are very good. Impressed.

Dave.

* Don't ask much do I ?

Nothing better than good advice so please keep it coming! The joint was tricky because one side was done in the moonlight. I do use the trick you suggest but didn't this time. I think this will be fine when added to colour, though.

and i would be really looking forward to seeing that in colour as well, if i may do you dither your exposers

Thanks. At the moment, no. I would like to find out more about this, though. I'm a rather simple imager, to be honest, and bust a gut to get good data in, in plenty. Then I double it and only then do i try anything fancy!!
