blinky
Got out this morning about 4:30 and managed to get a shot of Saturn,in between clouds. Could not get my new Televu barlow to focus so this is just a straight ToUCam 99 frames stacked in Registax4. Pretty pleased for a first attempt, need to try the barlow in daylight to see how to focus it.Incidentally I saw a great shooting star this morning,I was looking at Saturn and saw a bright flash, almost like lightning! I turned round and just saw the end of the shooting star, the trail lasted about 10-12seconds before fading!! It was about 45 degrees away from Saturn, in the opposite direction to Orion, which is strange as I thought it was the Orionids this weekend? GazOC
Try turning the contrast/ brightness down on the finished shot Blinky, I think theres more detail to come out of that image....
blinky
Had a play about in Photoshop CS. I have to admit to not having a clue what I was doing but it looks a bit better.
daz
A good start indeed blinky.I would reduce the exposure a bit and just tweak the focus a bit

ianmwatson
It's great to see other people entering the world of imaging, tricky isn't it?Did your barlow need more in or out focus?I have to set my powermate up so it isn't all the way in the focuser because there's not enough out focus in my reflector. Not sure if you said, what scope are you using? The Warthog
Your meteor may have been a sporadic, ie not one of the Orionids, but just a random meteor.
