Extension to allow fixing of QHY5 to ST80 ?

Hi Guys

I am now using a QHY5 as my guide camera on an ST80.

At the moment i use the QHY5 with its nose adaptor and feed that into a (lens removed ) barlow to get the extra focuser travel.

I see that you can remove the nosepiece off the QHY5 and screw the camera onto the focuser tube (1.25").

Does anyone know of a 2" long adaptor that has the thread on the end to accept the QHY5 ?

A 40mm T/T thread extension should work.

I use the Baader #2458010 variable T thread adaptor.

Steve, seeing as the ST80 is not 2" dia focuser.

Which of the FLO adaptors were you referring to ?

Ooops! Sorry, I was thinking of the ED80. My mistake.

Like you, I am using the barlow tube.

I think Ken (Merlin66) has got it right.

Have a look in the Scopes'n'skies astro boot section, there's usually a few T-T extension tubes in there, I bought a couple myself to attach my guide cam to my ST 80, and my Skymax127 around a fiver each.

Just bought a 60mm male T thread one end and female T thread opposite end for £4.50 inc p&p
