condensation

Recommended Posts

Does this stop the EPs and scope mirrors/lenses from fogging up in the first place then?

Yes ... condensation forms on surfaces which are below the dew point, if you cap the scope then the air inside is cold & the surfaces warm up first ... you can remove the caps when the scope has warmed up to ambient (a couple of hours).
