Helen
The best bet is to let it all dry naturally then put the caps on.Helen

BazMark
Covers on BEFORE you bring it inside.Does this stop the EPs and scope mirrors/lenses from fogging up in the first place then?I usually bring everything in, let it dry off and then put the caps on. brianb
Does this stop the EPs and scope mirrors/lenses from fogging up in the first place then?Yes ... condensation forms on surfaces which are below the dew point, if you cap the scope then the air inside is cold & the surfaces warm up first ... you can remove the caps when the scope has warmed up to ambient (a couple of hours).
