I visited Jan's page this morning; I hadn't seen any of his usual solar images posted on the forums, only to find he is in poor health. Cancer.

My sincere wishes and thoughts go to him and his family at this difficult time and I hope the treatment he is receiving will be successful.

Spare a thought to a sharing dedicated amateur astronomer who has given so much to us in this his darkest hour.

Our prayers go with you.

Sad to hear. Hope all goes well with his treatments.

When he had his Tal 2M, he was a valuable member of the Talscopes yahoo group and still has excellent Tal hints and tips on his site.
