We will be at Kielder two weeks today! Looking forward to those clear skies, sub-zero temperatures and the Dukes Pantry! And the company of course!

There's snow forecast for this weekend along with the freezing temperatures whether it turns up or not is anyones guess!

I think I might pack a few extra provisions and a shovel.

Mind u. Would be really neat to build a massive igloo style obs....not sure how we'll manage the rotating an opening roof mind?

We could build the igloo observatory on a large flat bed trailer, and then move the trailer accordingly.

This would mean resetting your polar alignment, however that shouldn't be a problem for you 'imaging' folk.

No sign of snow of the horizon, but it does look as though Friday is going to be a cracker!

I saw it in the distance on the way to chapel once. Does that count ?

For the first time in Kielder history I think I'll bring my proper wellies. I normally rely on walking on water but don't think it will be that cold this year

I've only just spotted this. Emailed Lynne to see if there's any room for a campervan. Not done any kind of event before so here's hoping. All the info still appears to be up on the website and doesn't mention it's fully booked so fingers crossed.
