Sun spot on the 10/10/10

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone

Given the date I thought I'd give the sun a go at imaging. This is my 1st attempt at the sun and dam my one eye is killing :(

Any way the last few times I've checked out the sun it's been lovely and clear but had no sun spots at all and other times when there's clouds there's huge ones dotted all over. I decided to give it a go as it's the 10th of the 10th 2010 :( but yet again the pickings were slim. There was 1 sun spot to the top right looking through a reflector. As I still can't get my head around the whole mirror reversed image thing I have orientated it the was I saw it through the ep.

Just take a look at RMC 136a 300 times bigger than our sun. Now that gets you thinking. Not many people think twice when they step on an ant, earth's not even the size of an ant when compaired to the universe
