Nothing special - Jupiter from last night

Let's get the excuses out of the way! The seeing was poor but the transparency was reasonable so I gave Jupiter ago last night.

I'm still not really setup for planetary imaging, more DSO.

I'll try again with an improvised IR filter tonight.

Words are unnecessary really, negative or otherwise, this Image is a clean one, with plenty of Jupiters main features showing.

A big step on the way to a planetary Imaging career .

Thanks for the encouraging comments guy's. Here you can find a new image taken in the IR spectrum. Dont ask me the wave length because I dont know.

I made a simple IR pass filter by doubling the end of a piece of slide film in two (the unexposed black end) so this improvement cost me absolutely nothing except my time!

I hope you like the improvement.

Thanks for all the comments, the improvised IR pass filter has at least convinced me to invest in a proper filter now...just need to decide which one!
