Jupiter, Io and Callisto animation

Recommended Posts

Another go at a Jupiter animation.:o

Conditions again got the better of me. Varying cloud thickness made catching images of consistent brightness impossible.

So much so that the raw RGB colour combines looked like Andy Warhole's work. :)

Half way through I had to push the gain to 100% which has made for a noisy result.

11 frames in the animation, RGB is made from the best 800 frames from 1500 frame AVI's @30fps per channel with my DMK21 and 10" f4 newt.

Thats great Mike. I've got 50 odd .avis from the same night that I'm hoping to process into a .gif, I hope mine turns out half as well as yours!!

50, :o can't wait to see the animation.:)

Yes, cloud was an issue all the way through, I ran out of gain @ 11 avi's and didn't want to drop the frame rate any lower than 30 fps so called it a night.

Hopefully third time lucky is on the cards for me.
