new variation on "chinese lantern "

we've all heard about people thinking chinese lanterns are UFO's but last night i heard a brand new one.

chap came into work and said that he could see one of those "floating lantern things" outside, went to look and pointed out it was jupiter shining through thin cloud that admittedly gave it a reddish colour.

no he was admant it was one of those lanterns and still insisted it was even when it was still visible 4 hours later and said that you could tell it was a lantern as it had moved a bit across the sky in the wind and jupiter wouldn't have moved that far ignoring the fact the moon had moved the same distance (though maybe he thought that was a balloon, i didn't dare ask)

:DI would have told him that that is the way we communicate with the Death Star that keeps orbiting the earth, one lantern means "go round again", two lanterns mean " pretend to be a full moon", three lanterns mean......................
