Even a JPEG will give some idea of what's lurking in the nether regions of the data. I wouldn't want to call it in advance but let's give it a whizz.

I love this thread. My own excitement was just like yours though I was a reluctant convert to imaging from visual. How times change! These days I have to remind myself that you can look through telescopes. It is awfully nice when you do, though.

I am still super chuffed I keep looking at my image although i know its not up to much but its mine and that makes me happy.

Yes it will always be a rewarding sight though, to see our plannets and moon through the EP. I'm keeping my old 'toy' telescopt to use when the new one is imaging. I think its the way to go...best of both
