New Scope just arrived

Well just picked up a new 'baby' from work

Bought the Skywatcher 80 Apo equinox to go with my Celestron C8

Must say , the quality fo the build is superb , hopefuly clear(er) skies to night to test the optics

Clear(er) skies, are you kidding. Its bound to be nothing but pea soup for weeks, now that you have a new scope.

Congrats Stephen, it's always exciting to get first sight, even before first light!

I'll be interested to hear what you think am seriously considering an Equinox 120 or DS Pro 120..

The scope was great, used it on jupiter and moon for some visual stuff then did some imaging on andromeda galaxy, ring nebula and cluster in herculies .was impressed as first attempt at dso astrophotography and produced reasonable images just from some one off exposures. Build quality it excellent, and just love the focusor. I bought it as a 'partner' to my celestron c8 for the dso imaging. Great scope and can see myself buying a larger diameter one at alater stage
