I wonder if its anything like Ordnance Survey maps that have deliberate "mistakes" to help prove unauthorised copying? I realise Stellaruim is "free" but someone could try to market it at a profit.

Being GPL software, it's perfectly legal to copy and market Stellarium for a profit.

Strange one this. I have 10.4 (PC) as my system is dual boot and they do not show on mine, so I am stumped.

I've definitely had this happen somewhere on my version of Stellarium (10.4) a couple of times, and not in the same place. I can't remember where, as I just wrote it off as some sort of glitch in the program, and I think that it doesn't stay in the same place. Weird.
