Yet another newbie

Hi all

Came across this forum today and was very impressed with it. Everybody seems really welcoming and helpful.

44 yr old in Bristol who got the astro bug again last Xmas when my wife surprised me with an EXT80 last Xmas (prior to that I'd only borrowed the school reflector way back in the 70s). I was planning to upgrade the tripod and handset but have ended up with an ETX90 with said accessories + electronic focus off Ebay for less than the cost of a new handset (which I'm collecting tomorrow). I suspect the difference won't be much but I'm interested to see what it is.

My other main interest in life is cycling but that's off the cards for a few weeks as I'm nursing a broken collarbone following meeting up with a Labrador which didn't look.

Looking forward to learning lots.
