eq5 goto

hi all

i have a bresser messier n-203 8"ota on a eq5 mount

the weight of the ota is 9kg

would a sky-watcher EQ5 SynScan Computerised GoTo Mount

take the weight of the ota and run ok or would i need something better

According to the mount specs, 9kg is the maximum payload for this mount.

Not an expert on mounts, but if your budget will stretch, you might find an HEQ5 (of EQ6) better in the long run ... especially if you intend to do any imaging ...

I'm sure other more qualified members will correct me if I am wrong.
