Just a teaser really for myself. I'm moving house and wanted to have a quick look at the skies before we move in. I set up the 400d on a tripod and took a few 20s exposures. Looks promising.

Thanks guys. The house is pretty rural, and has a pretty impressive view to the east and south. Mid-move at the minute, so hopefully things will continue to go smoothly. The old donwside I can see is that it is 205 metres above sea level, and a bit of a trek to work now!

And sadly my little 8'x6' obs is staying behind in the city. It was a bit of a selling point for the house, so I've agreed to let it stay. I'll be looking for advice on a new one now, but I reckon something bigger with a warm room is on the cards.
