33 doubles in Lyra

I found this website which has a list of doubles in Lyra, looks like there is a wide range of targets here with varying separations. Two components of an triple star in the list has a separation of 0.9"!!!

Might be a good project for someone to try and bag all 33 in a night maybe?

Been trying to crack Lyras doubles over space of a few days, been difficult given the cloud over past few days though, great find! Are there any other constellations?

Llamanaut, which of your scopes is the preferred one for splitting doubles?

I was a member of their Yahoo Group a while ago and learned quite a bit, but didn't have time to keep up with all the groups i was in, and had to drop some of the less active ones. They were nice, though.

Mikea, ive had real problems splitting epsilon lyra with the 300 but easily resolved almost 100% of the time with the 120 so i usually use the 120. The added bonus is that its on a motorised eq3-2 mount. I think that the 300 is too good sometimes especially if the seeing isnt brilliant, i have split epsilon lyra with my dob but seeing was exceptional at the time... Im into sketching too which makes the 120 a clear winner. Hope this helps?

Am surprised at the above. Do any other skyliner owners find it difficult ? Thought it had good optics. I dont have any problems with my imperfect mirror.

I have a smallish 63mm secondary (21% obstruction when aperture reduced to 300mm), perhaps this helps a lot.

Do you mean you don't see black sky between the components ?

it was the seeing that affected the split not the optics...
