Philosophaie
The RA of the North Star (Polaris) is about 2.7hours if you factor in the change over time. LST is similar to RA and can be transposed? Hour Angle equals Local Sidereal Time minus Right Ascension. The LST can be calculated the GST and the Longitude Hour of the Observer. What do you add to the RA dial from the LST and the RA of the stellar object do you add LST+RA?What do you put on the RA Dial? Do you add the RA from the long and lat calculations to the RA from the star? Or is it the LST?
Philosophaie
The LST data at Latitude= 40.8 an longitude=-81.5 on Aug 8, 2010 would be:LST=6.4hoursRA=18.4hoursDEC=49.2degrees
