The Sun from the foot of Mont Blanc

We're on holiday in Chamonix, and I'm really glad I decided to bring the PST:D We've been out today, but returned around 5:30 to see the sun nicely placed from our 3rd floor balcony. It wasn't all plain sailing though as there's a lot of cloud around here too

Some nice activity though.

First the big prominance. The next one was going to be binned, but then I thought perhaps it was a nice effect with the cloud acting as a filter to show some surface detail while keeping the prom. Theses were PST and DMK21 single stack

The surface detail was really good with the double-stack.

It was a fun half hour

Nice one Helen Glad you had a safe journey down and that you are able to see the sun it is a long way just for cloud.
