Is there any member's of this Society belonging to SGL, as it is only 20mins drive from my Home. Would like to come & attend some meetings..

It seems they also have observing activities as well.

Hello,

I am am member and have been for two and a half years it is a good active society.

I like the weekly meetings which means I can miss the odd one and not feel I have missed out. We have at least 20 people every week and depending on speakers up to 60.

We have Alan Chapman on the 29 July so I expect that to be busy and tomorrow is a members led beginners talk on the summer sky.

We do some observing locally weather permitting but groups of us make pretty regular weekend trips to Kelling Heath 4-5 trips from September to April.

Come along, would be good to see you.

I am particularly interested in doing some observing from somewhere less light polluted than my back garden!
