Anyone have solutions to fitting a focuser motor to the original knob on the C9.25.

JMI has/ had a motor but this seems to be no longer available.

Any homegrown solutions??

( Don't need or want a Moonlite Crayford etc etc:rolleyes: )

Hi Ken,

I fitted the focuser shown below to a C8. It was designed for the Nexstar range of 'scopes. I had to remove the motor and make an extension from brass plate so that the motor reached the focus knob, and it worked very well. You can remove the drive band easily for 'manual' focusing.

I presume the C9.25 has the same size visual back as the C8, if so, this would work on your tube.

David Hinds was selling these at £25! at the time (about a year ago) so it might be worth giving him a ring to see if he has any left.
