I acquired one secondhand recently and the previous owner recommended a dewshield and a dewheater.

dewshield and dewheater are not accessories but essentials with this scope. That corrector plate is a dew magnet!

cheers guys will look in to a dew heater when funds approve,what filters would be best?got a moon filter already.and is it cheaper to make a dew shield?

In the meantime, some camping mat will work well as a cheap dew shield... It's what I use on my Skymax 102.

I have a few filters but end up never using them. Save the money for EP or a bino.

Binos are an absolute must have with such scopes. Especially if you're going to go planetary
