Hi All,

First time I've got a shot of this - its huge! So making the most of the extra real-estate on the new chip.

This is 18 x 10 minute shots in Ha.

Fab image, has given me an appetite to track this one down, going to add it to my next observing list. How accessible is it with 8" and reasonably dark skies?

Yes - colour will be added at some point soon :D

Steve (Steppenwolf) has already added some colour, which looked really good....

Also, I applied some flats to the data as well, and am now alot more pleased with the result - have a look at this:

I have to say that I preferred the original more subtle image, Richie but the flat has certainly evened out the background. As Richie had mentioned it in the thread, this is the colour version using my RGB and Richie's original Ha data. My RGB data was nowhere near as crisp as Richie's Ha data but that is the joy of a good Luminance channel sitting behind the RGB overlay!

Yes Steve - looking again at the two, I think I over-smoothed the 3rd processing run - have a look at the second one and see if it suits better :D

Still looks jolly good with some colour in! Hope to add some myself soon...

Cheers,

Richie

This sensor 8300 seems excellent judging by what you have shown.

Thanks John - I have been pretty impressed with the results so far :D

Obviously I need to spend a bit more time processing to get the best out of it though.....

Cheers,

Richie
