Ionian Milky Way

Just got back from 2 weeks sailing around the Ionian islands. This shot was taken from the small island of Kastos looking over to the mainland. The bright lights are from fish farms about 6 miles across the water.

Canon 1000D with a Tokina 16-50mm F2.8 zoom at 16mm F3.6 1600ASA. 4x30 secs without tracking.

Thanks guys. It certainly was a great trip Peter, I am very lucky in having a 5th share of a boat out there so manage to get over a couple of times a year. Next trip is end of August and it can't come soon enough!

A really fantastic sight of our MW Martin. How you love those Ionian waters. Go for a full share of the boat, then you can spend most of the year there .

Fantastic shots Martin, looks like you can see a long way south there. I've told my Mrs we will have to go to the canaries next year!
