I'm just outside Aberdeen so all light nights at the moment. I was looking at the moon and planets during the winter and loved it. Just took the plunge and purchased a 10'' felx tube skywatcher dob for this winter. Going to try for some DSOs

Hi Bill i live in a small village just outside Inverurie, Westill isn't that far from me. I've been a member of the the Aberdeen Astronomical Society since last year. I think there are a few other members here on the boards Andrew the mod is a member i believe

My new scope arrived today. 10" Skywatcher flex dob, iv'e just finished putting it together. In a word i am DELIGHTED !!!! (not chuffed with the cloudcover though....)
