your globs are amazing - best I've ever seen - whatever technique you're using is perfect for them. i don't think it works so well for the nebula (non-globs) becasue they look too "granular". just MHO.

they are indeed, been scratching my head for a while on how to present them so they look acceptable. Ive refined some of the techniques that talitha presents in SANM - also one of the easiest ways ive discovered for a globular effect is to place your drawing over a sheet of rough sandpaper and gently rub in shape of glob... if you want more speckling use coarser grade, less speckling finer grade. Im not an artist at all (i have no raw talent, you may be able to tell) but i do have perseverence... you should see my rough scope sketches... rough!

Well done! Your idea of using sandpaper is pure genius.

It proves what i've been saying for years... you don't need to be an artist to do make sketches at the eyepiece, just use (or invent ) the right techniques.
