On my reflectors mirror? no that hasn't happened, but on my daytime Halpha tlelescope - yes.

Just missed the glass of my SM90 and landed on the Tmax tuning ring.

Our fault 'cos we have 4 bird feaders in the garden and lots of little twiters around.

It went into my " no good deed goes unpunished" file.

Now if I leave the daytime telescope unatended for a moment I put the objective and eyepiece covers on.

Best Regards and Clear Skies

Carl

Well now here is something no one has mentioned:

Birds rarely fly around at night. They prefer to sleep............unlike astronomers.

At night i am more worried about small furry creatures chewing on my extremities if i stay still for too long.
