Counterweights for Celestron C8-SGT

While I was shopping for my scope I noticed that in all pictures of the C8-SGT, one 11lb counterweight was attached. This is also confirmed on the Celestron website.

Imagine my surprise (not just at the weight of the CG-5 box!) when I found not one, but two of these with my mount!

Is it standard to ship an 'extra' counterweight for later add-ons or was someone in the Celestron Factory feeling generous that day?

I don't know how much the C8 tube assembly weighs but I find I need 2 11lb counterweights on the CG5 to balance my 6" F/8 refractor which weighs around 16lbs.

The C8 weights almost half of that.

The new CG-5 GT mount standard comes with two counter weights.

As you have packages that go up to the C11 range.

And the C9.25 and C11 need two counterweights.

I have the exact same package. C8 with CG-5 GT mount.
