New Home for the Spectroscope

Recommended Posts

Here's the Classic spectroscope mounted in it's new home.

I've changed over to the C9.25 (Thanks Andy) fitted a Losmandy wide dovetail (Thanks Bern, Modern Astronomy) and an ADM minirail (Thanks, Steve, FLO)

The AtiK16ic is for imaging the spectrum, the DSI II for guiding via a 80/20 beamsplitter, and I use the QHY5 with a Mogg adaptor to a 135mm telelens as an electronic finder. All this mounted on the NEQ6pro....

Just need some clear skies:(

Thanks Peter!

It's much lighter than the 10" Meade SCT and feels a lot safer when manhandling it onto the mount.

I think I'll fit a stop bar to the Loasmandy rail - to match up with the front edge of the Geopik saddle, that way I can lift the OTA and rest it on the stop while tightening the clamping screws.....

Ken

ps three USB cameras into the one laptop is interesting!!!

Use PHD for guiding and AA4 for image aquisition.
