Which Meade Handset ?

I've just acquire a Meade 492 motor drive kit and would like to know which models of GOTO Handset would be compatible with it.

Any suggestions.

I have a 492 dual motor drives fitted to an EQ5 mount, this works fine with the Autostar GOTO 497 hands set.

Which mount are you fitting the kit to?

these are the settings I use in autostar setttings menue

:

set telescope model to-

LDX-55 120 achro

on EQ5/GPDX mount-

AZ/RA +03.28533

ALT/DEC -0328533

if used on EQ3-02

AZ/RA -02.96593

ALT/DEC -014.8296

It's my lucky day. I'm going to be fitting the mount to 7 year old CG-5 which is essentially an EQ-5, so you advice is most welcome.

I'm trying to obtain a 497 handset but I'm having trouble finding one (other than new), but I have seen a 494. Not as good I know, but should be O.K to get up and running.

If it's not to much to ask, how did you mate the motors to the mount ?
