Well the rings may be edge-on at the moment but what an absolutely marvelous and unmistakeable object Saturn is in a telescope. Saturn's moons were an unexpected bonus. Can't wait to see the Cassini division at some point in the future.

Congrats on your first view, an amazing experience. Even with the rings closed.

You should get your first glimpse of Cassini later this year if you are keen. When Saturn reappears in the morning sky in November/December, the rings will start to open up nicely.
