Lyra Stars and M57

Recommended Posts

Well....wide(ish) field.

First light and image with my new Revalation 80ED 'frac. Will report later on scope when used some more

Taken at prime focus with Canon 350D - no barlow

Stack of 6 no. 30 sec images @ 800 ISO. Taken at 8-30 pm BST last night.

Slight crop to show the 2 bright stars in the corner of the image - the one top left is Sulafat, bottom right is Sheliak.

M57 is just about midway between these stars.

Only used PS levels - no sharpening

Pleased with the scope's colour fidelity and sharpness.

MD

M57 has come out really well consider the image scale in that shot.

Nice one MD.

Thanks for the comments.

To get the central star of M57 at the scale I was imaging is very satisfying. Note that the posted image was in fact a crop of the full frame.

I'll try a shoot out with the Revelation with a 2x barlow and the TAL without, as they would then be at the same image scale.
