M45 - where's the nebulosity gone?

Had a bash at M45 last night but there is NO nebulosity, have any of you moved it?

Using the 135mm camera lens again on the SC3 and Antares ALP filter.

7 frames at 2 minutes.

I'm wondering if I filtered it all out?

Hi CC,

M45 is perhaps one object that would suit your Nikon rather than SC3. No issue with red response on M45, the DSLR picks out the blue no worries.

Nice pic though CC. And superb tracking for 2 mins with the SC3.

I'll definitely have to have a bash with the D50 at that but I didn't have it outside which was a shame. The HEQ5 tracks amazingly well unguided, though I think that the short focal length hides some of the error. I'm going to see if the cloud goes away tonight and then have a play with the Nikon again, maybe have another go at M31 in colour.

well framed CC, try a blue filter that should help, thats one i want to get myself, will try it with my new setup , but thats still a nice image
