That is a great shot and sensational for an unmodded camera. I'm amazed. The Ha has a strong signal. Oddly enough it is the blue reflection nebulosity which seems to lack colour saturation a little. I'd have expected the opposite.

But what a great result. It may be the last one we see this season, too!

Hi Dean,

It's your image and a really good one but personally I might be inclined to layer in the blue where there are those reflection nebulae but not apply it where it seems to be largely (or partly) a star halo effect, as around the bright star above the Horse.

By the way, I forgot to congratulate you on an excellent Alnitak, too, so often the bane of this picture.

What a lovely image Dean....smooth as they come, and beautifully controlled. ;)

I agree with Olly, back off the blue on the stars a tad.

Cheers

Thanks for your comments everyone.

Especially Olli and Rob for the advice regarding the color adjustment for the stars and reflection nebulae.

Thanks Dean

This is amazing, i think that this is probably one of my fav photos.

I really can not wait to get my Syncan upgrade for my eq5, and have a go at some nebulas.

Thanks for sharing this.
