Ash cloud from Eyjafjallajokull Volcano

Recommended Posts

Captured this evening in the twilight, the cloud was very noticeable and stretched across the evening sky to the North of Glasgow, a beautiful day with clear blue sky's so Venus and the crescent Moon also put in a lovely showing later.

I've always found you get good sunsets (or mor pollution) to the west of certain towns like Crewe, Wrexham and so on than in other places. To our west last night a bit of red but not much and a very thin layer of stuff (hardly enough to even show red high up. It was a bit the same looking at the sun today - the sky was blue but slightly off blue and the sun (in H-alpha) not quite crisp or as bright as on a real blue sky day.

Nice shots though.
