A very poor Cocoon nebula in LRGB

Wel as i said the moon just does not help for this , but i put it up to show a carp one , ready for a better one later on. once the moon goes and it gets a bit lower down , found the camera lead fouls the tripod directly above , anyway any comments just fire away

You can't do much about the Moon Rog as the others said theres nothing bad in that image and just think it's more pratice put into your lrgbs

Looking ok Rog considering the moon problem (sorry WH that should read - the additional target sharing the sky). One thing I have picked up and you probably know it anyway is that with an LRGB it helps if you sharpen the luminence a little and blur the colour layers. This reduces a lot of the colour noise.

If you like Rog, I'll put up one so that you know what a carp one looks like, just let me get some clear sky.

BTW you posted the wrong pic. that's not a carp pic at all.

certainly do Martin , you right there , always blur the colour before the layer to lum .

Well done, once again... Too much to remember, blur this...sharpen that... My XT goes "click, ckick, click... color, color, color ...). You fellows do a marveous on your color processing.

But Doug - you have a lot more work to do with your acquired images processing the colour channels. Narrow band filters not great either with colour chips.
