I am SOOO glad somebody here actually got photographic documentation of that thing, it really was incredible even through a little PST. Very keen to see Dave's pics

When the ejection was a little closer to the disc, it was much brighter and formed a loop right around back to the disc, easily visible. It was a privilege to see that one.

Me too. The US based solar gurus are narked that it blew when the sun was below their horizon!

Me three... I'm still coming down from the experience. I have to say though it was more by luck than judgment that I managed to catch it and can only imagine how much better the image would have been had the skies been anywhere close to clear !
