I havn't used this in anger yet - having only today got the scope on to it, but at first glance it looks a sturdy bit of kit. I can't feel any flex and, after giving it a boot the vibrations die down very quickly (the sand and oil trick will help there) There is only one major gripe so far and that is the top plate is 13" dia and with a HEQ5 on top it is almost impossible to get your eye to the polar scope, you have to turn your head sideways!! which is a pain and makes it hard for polar aligning.

Sorted the problem - took the angle grinder to it and took out a chin shaped lump. Not impressed that I had to do it to a brand new bit of kit, but where needs must!!
